“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen…” — 2 Corinthians 4:18
What is visible often demands the most attention—problems, pressures, disappointments. But Paul reminds us that what is visible is temporary, while what is unseen is eternal.
Fixing our eyes is an intentional act. It means choosing where our focus rests. When we focus only on the temporary, anxiety grows. When we shift our focus to eternal truth, perspective returns.
This verse encourages a deliberate refocusing of the heart, especially in seasons of difficulty.
Prayer:
Lord, help me lift my eyes from temporary concerns and focus on eternal truth. Amen.
