Februrary 11 2026

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” — Psalm 56:3
Fear is one of the most common human experiences. It can come from uncertainty, from past wounds, or from situations beyond our control. David does not deny fear or spiritualize it away. Instead, he acknowledges it honestly and then makes a deliberate choice—to place his trust in God.
This verse teaches us that fear itself is not the enemy; allowing fear to rule our decisions is. Trust does not mean fear disappears instantly. It means fear is no longer in charge. When we place our trust in God, fear shifts from being a master to becoming a signal—a reminder to lean into Him.
In moments of fear, God does not expect bravery. He invites trust. And trust, even when small, creates space for God’s peace to settle our hearts.
Prayer:
Lord, when fear rises within me, I choose to trust You. Replace my anxiety with Your peace today. Amen.
