Februrary 20 2026

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” — John 14:27
Jesus speaks these words on the eve of His suffering. The situation around Him is anything but peaceful, yet He offers peace to His disciples. This immediately tells us that His peace is not dependent on circumstances, comfort, or predictability. It is a peace rooted in His presence.
The world’s peace is fragile. It exists only when problems are solved, when people cooperate, and when life feels stable. Jesus’ peace is different. It settles the heart even when answers are missing. It guards the mind even when questions remain.
When Jesus says, “Do not let your hearts be troubled,” He is inviting us to make a choice—to receive His peace instead of rehearsing fear. This peace does not deny reality; it strengthens us within it. Today, allow His peace to quiet your thoughts and steady your heart.
Prayer: Jesus, I receive the peace You give. Calm my heart and remove fear from within me. Amen.
