“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken.” — Isaiah 54:10
Everything that seems permanent in life can change. People may disappoint, plans may collapse, health can fluctuate, and even our own strength can fail. Scripture uses the strongest imagery possible—mountains and hills—to describe things we assume will never move. Yet God says that even if these are shaken, His love will not be.
This promise reveals the nature of God’s love. It is not fragile, conditional, or dependent on circumstances. God’s covenant of peace is anchored in His compassion, not in our performance. Even when your faith feels weak or your situation feels unstable, His love remains steady and unmoved.
This verse is especially meaningful in seasons of uncertainty. When everything around you feels unpredictable, God invites you to anchor your heart in what cannot change. His love does not shift with emotions, seasons, or outcomes. It surrounds you, holds you, and keeps you secure.
No matter what changes around you today, one truth remains firm: you are deeply loved, and that love will not be shaken.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that Your love for me will never be shaken. When life feels uncertain, help me rest in Your unchanging peace. Amen.
