Februrary 1 2026

“Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.” — Psalm 31:24
Strength is often misunderstood as having no fear, no fatigue, and no doubt. But the Bible presents a different picture. Here, strength flows from hope placed in the Lord, not from personal capacity. David is speaking to people who are waiting—people whose circumstances may not yet have changed.
Think of someone sitting in a hospital waiting area. Nothing outward has improved, yet they remain seated, alert, and expectant. That quiet endurance is powered by hope. In the same way, when we place our hope in God, our heart begins to steady even before answers arrive.
God does not ask you to force yourself to be strong. He invites you to hope in Him—and as you do, courage slowly rises. If you are still hoping today, even quietly, you are already walking in the strength God is speaking about.
Prayer:
Lord, I place my hope in You today. Strengthen my heart and help me stand firm as I wait. Amen.
