"Blessed is the one who fears the Lord always, but whoever hardens his heart will fall into calamity."
— Proverbs 28:14 (ESV)
This verse deeply encouraged me today.
It reminded me of how important it is to walk in constant reverence and awe of God.
That’s where true blessing lies—not in comfort, success, or pride—but in a heart that honours Him daily.
We can’t treat God as a passing thought.
We can’t afford to ignore the gentle nudges of the Holy Spirit.
If the most powerful leader in the world gave us personal direction, we’d lean in and listen closely.
So why are we casual when it’s God Himself speaking?
At the root of it is pride—
Thinking we know better,
That we’re above correction,
That we’ve got it handled.
This pride slowly hardens the heart—and a hardened heart leads to trouble.
Today, I encourage you to humble yourself under God’s mighty hand.
Ask Him to give you a heart that fears Him—not in terror, but in reverence.
Because that kind of fear is the beginning of wisdom, and it will keep you safe and lead to blessing.

The Bible teaches us something completely different: God gives power to the faint. He increases strength for those who have none left. That means you don’t have to pretend to be strong. You don’t have to hide your fatigue. You don’t have to force yourself through the storm. God’s strength does not come after you prove yourself. It comes when you admit you are tired. This verse is written for those who feel faint, forgotten, or worn down by life God specializes in strengthening those who know they are weak. Weariness is not a disqualification—it is an invitation. When your strength runs out, God’s strength begins. He does not shame weakness; He meets it with power. Today, receive His strength. You don’t have to do this on your own. Prayer: Lord, I receive Your strength today. Renew my power as I trust You. Amen.
